RICARDO LOPES

Ricardo Lopes (1975, Lisbon) is a photographer with a background in design and cinema. He has worked as a designer, teacher, journalist, editor, videographer, creative director, but it is in photography that he feels a reciprocal connection to build his artistic landscapes. Currently, with a parallel career split between photography and video, he considers his professional activity an integral part of his artistic endeavour, manifested in various creative campaigns he has directed, both nationally and internationally. While seemingly focusing on common narratives, his work revolves around themes related to social concerns, human issues, and collective identity, shaping a contemporary approach and an aesthetic veiled in images of somewhat emotional sensitivity.
